Mission Statement

Saint Alphonsus Choir

The choir is an organization of musically and spiritually motivated men and women who endeavor to enhance the worship experience of the parish by presenting liturgical music that is meaningful, well prepared, and which encourages participation.  Repertoire includes congregational hymns and plainsong/chant but the primary emphasis is on 4-part (soprano, alto, tenor, bass) choral literature providing an opportunity for those so inclined to experience more challenging (and rewarding) ensemble singing, the ultimate purpose of which is to inspire a greater and more meaningful participation for the entire parish community in the celebration of mass and other special devotions and liturgies.
