Welcoming Committee

Formed to welcome new parishioners into the parish through a home visit and an annual liturgy celebrated with the parish community.

2.

Sister Parish Outreach

Provides leadership for the parish’s support of Our Lady of Hope Church in Philadelphia through its annual scholarship campaign and weekly after school tutoring project.

3.

Aid for Friends

Providing meals for the homebound elderly in our community.

 

4.

Angel Hands

Offering families assistance during times of distress with cooked meals and other means of support.

5.

St. John Hospice

Preparing frozen dinners gathered at the parish for transport to St. John's Hospice in Philadelphia.

6.

CCD Religious Education

(PREP)

Teaching religion to the young people of our parish community on Tuesdays and Sundays.

7.

RCIA

Preparing adults for reception into the Church, a project involving a team of parishioners, including on Sundays the Little Church School for 3,4 and 5 year olds

8.

Pre-Jordan

Working with the deacon and his wife in preparing couples for the baptism of their children.

9.

Evangelization

Reaching out to the inactive Catholic and unchurched person in our community.

10.

Bereavement

Parishioners offering support and consolation to members of the parish who have lost a loved one.

11.

Respect Life Committee

Parishioners working to ensure that the entire parish community is well informed about the pro-life issues and the pro-life activities of the day.

12.

Our Lady’s Gardeners

Parishioners who enjoy gardening and wish to share their skill with the parish by tending to the flowerbeds outside Church and around the Blessed Mother statue.

13.

Altar Flowers Society

Parishioners who enjoy working with cut flowers, tending to the needs of the sanctuary.

14.

Youth Ministry

Young adult parishioners working with the teams of our parish in spiritual, social and service projects.

15.

CYO/Coaching

Men and women with coaching experience or interest working with the boys and girls of our parish in soccer, volleyball and baseball settings.

16.

Ushers

Men interested in assisting at the liturgy by the seating, the congregants, taking up collection and tending to those who are ill.

17.

Genesis

Boys and girls of elementary school age, formed into a choir to sing at the liturgy.

18.

Revelation

Men and women with musical interest who form a contemporary liturgical music group to lead the singing at the liturgy.

Choir

Men and women with musical interest who form an adult choir to assist at the liturgy.

20.

Parish Family Newsletter

Parishioners with interest in journalism, editing and computer layouts to assist in the publication of our quarterly newsletter.

Steering Committee on Liturgy

Men and women with interest in the liturgy willing to study the elements needed for the formation of the parish liturgy committee.

22.

Liturgy of the Word for Children

Men and women interested in presenting the Sunday readings to the young people of our parish during the Liturgy of the Word at the 10:15 Mass.

23.

Adult Faith Formation

A team of parishioners who would be charged to plan adult religious education experiences.

24.

Parish Vocations Committee

A team of parishioners charged to engage the parish in prayer and works that would encourage men and women to consider God's call to the priesthood, deaconate and religious life.

25.

St.Vincent dePaul Society

Parishioners serving as coordinators for the various social outreach projects of the parish.

26.

Ministry of Greeters

Men and women, boys and girls, families or single folks willing to greet people as they arrive for church on Sunday, offer missalletes and at the end of mass a parish bulletin.

27.

Social Committee

Team of parishioners charged organize social events (concerts, dances) in the parish center and manage kitchen facilities.

28.

Parish Website Team

Parishioners with web site experience willing to maintain a Parish web site, as the catechetical instrument and communication vehicle for the parish family.

29.

Public Affairs Committee

A team of parishioners interested in educating the parish on issues of social concern to the church and identifying political action steps to advance those causes.

30.

Steering Committee on Stewardship

Parishioners willing to guide the parish toward a stewardship identity: an atmosphere in the parish where everyone's gift of time, talent and treasure, offered in parish service, is appreciated.

31.

Communications Steering Committee

A team of parishioners to study the ways in which the parish associations communicate with one another and the parish as a whole and make recommendations as to how we can be more effective.
